The personal data collected on this website, or when you contact us within the scope of the Greater Porto initiative, are processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and other applicable legislation regarding the protection of personal data.

Pursuant to articles 13 and 14 of the GDPR, the following Privacy Notice describes how we process the personal data we receive when you use our website or when you contact us via the contact form, email or by phone, as well as your rights and how to exercise them.

Data Protection Officer

Pursuant to Article 37(1)(a) of the GDPR, each entity referred to above has designated a Data Protection Officer. Within the scope of the Greater Porto initiative, you can exercise your rights as a data subject, as well as request information, via the email privacy@greaterporto.pt.

 

Personal Data

“Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, identifiers electronically or to one or more specific elements of the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person (Article 4(1) GDPR).

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the following provisions of the GDPR:

 

Personal data processed when you contact us

When you contact us, your data and the information provided are processed for the purpose of contacting you and dealing with your request for information, as well as, if you have consented, to send you commercial or institutional information within the scope of the Greater Porto initiative. The processing and storage of this data will take place, under the terms of the GDPR, until you withdraw your consent or until there are no longer any purposes for the treatment of them.

If the duty to respond to a request made by you is not within our competence and responsibility, it may be forwarded to the competent authorities without your prior consent, in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR, provided that it is legitimate to assume that the forwarding of the question safeguards your interest, and that no sensitive personal data is involved (Article 6(1)(e) GDPR).

In your relationship with us and as a data subject, the GDPR guarantees you the following rights:

If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke it at any time and unconditionally. Such withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any use based on the provision of consent on a date prior to its withdrawal (Article 7(3) of the GDPR).
